What do you know about them? I knew almost nothing when I was introduced to them. I began my oil journey about 8 years ago when I was into making my own laundry detergent and soaps. I went to natural stores and smelled all of the amazing aromas as I was walking through. Bath salts, soaps, etc and I am thinking I can make this stuff myself. So I dabbled for the best price of one brand of oil from a large online retailer. The bottles ended up collecting dust so I sent them and the diffuser to college with my daughter.
Fast forward to 2017/2018 my husbands medication is increasing by the visit to his local VA clinic. I’m like seriously do you really need a cabinet full of medication? Seriously a kitchen cabinet and a special spot in the fridge. So we begun our research and were like this medication increases your risk of this or that. Which they did by the way. So during all of this I met this amazing lady, Jennifer Stegman through networking. I followed her on social media and her husbands story on a disease that increased their efforts to find more healthy solutions than medication from big pharma. She asked me a few times to join the Young Living program for personal use and to start my own research on oils and to not just take her word for it. I did what everyone else does and tell her sure I will take a look at it.
Then February happened. I broke my foot. It was my first day back to work and I had to take my boot on and off to drive, get in and out of the car, etc. There’s this lady she rolls down her window at the post office and says “would you like me to help you?” My mouth wanted to blurt out no I’ve got this but my foot was screaming please let this lady walk in to check the mail. After talking with her for a few minutes I realized it was Jennifer and her car smelled as if I was walking through the natural store again. I really do believe that same week I signed up for YL and the kit was on sale. We’ve been in contact almost daily since and it was an oily friendship made in heaven!
Stay tuned for a blog on my favorite oils as I gather my data. It so important to me that you know that essential oils are not here to cure, diagnose, or treat illnesses but they are another alternative. Always keep your primary care doctor informed how and what you use your oils for.
